i can’t post it the way i want it to in my LJ (i have no idea why).

but i don’t wanna waste it

so i decided that i’ll answer this question :

If you could only listen to one music genre for the rest of your life (classical, rock, jazz, etc.), what would you choose, and why?

i couldn’t listen to only one music genre for the rest of my life.

that would be truly unimaginable.

◊

but if i have to choose, it would probably be pop rock with strings at the back.

◊

there has to be that distinctive sound of strings at the background because they blend in superbly with the pop rock beat and gives this wholesome feeling to the music.

like when you listen to Creed’s “Arms Wide Open”, the way the strings are arranged towards the last chorus allows the music to build up so strongly and adds to the massive quality of the song.

as if you’re anticipating something from it and then it is delivered.

as if the feeling of feeling something.

almost like the feeling of

..accomplishment.

check this out here. it is present throughout the song but somewhat more evident near the guitar solo until the end.

(and ermm. i don’t really like the american idol contestant’s version.. sorry. the song has to have tonnes of energy and feelings to it to move the emotions of people. i was moved AFTER the song.. when someone gave a good comment and she has this remarkably relieved look on her face and burst into tears of gratitude. THAT LOOK moved me. more than her rendition of the song. and the Vera Wang-ish dress).
